I know the cable is ok as the two LED lights on it flash when plugged in and tested it on my other laptop just moments ago and it works.Įven when I insert a usb flash drive it is still not recognized Tried many times plugging and unplugging, rebooting linux and windows etc with no luck. Rebooted Windows VM and then when I reconnected the usb programming cable, turned on the radio and went to the little usb icon in the bottom right hand corner it said that there was still no usb devices available.
#Quansheng tg uv2 programming software download install
Yes, I did install it however Guest additions installer did not autostart so I had to manually start it like you said.

There is a linux version of radio programming software called CHIRP but this radio is not compatible with it This is like one of the only reasons I'm keeping my boat anchor laptop with Windows Vista on it and would be nice to eliminate it entirely if I can get this software to work with Peppermint. I have tried many different combinations of installations 32 vs 64 bit, changing windows emulator versions etc with the same problem. When I tried to install it using Wine with Play on Linux, the installation goes fine, but when I go to run the application it gives me the message ".encountered a serious problem and needs to close.". The software of course is made for windows. It can be done manually but it takes forever and so there is software to make this task easier. HI, I have a Quansheng UV-R50 UHF/VHF radio that has the ability to store up to 128 channels/frequencies.
